| Customer Reviews: Favorite child game May 31, 2010 Julie Billings (Fremont, CA) I absolutely love this game and playing with my kids. I think 3-year olds can play with an older child or parent easily and can do so much on his/her own. Rolling the dice and counting the pictures is half the fun. Even my 1-year old likes to sit with me and roll the dice. The only kids game we can all play, and the only kids game I enjoy playing! It teaches counting and math skills, and best of all, how to share. My 1-year old has already learned the concept that she hands the cup to her sister when her turn is over and patiently waits. I grew up with Mickey Mouse Yahtzee and played it until I was in my teens. So worth the money!
Quality lacking February 18, 2010 K. M. Nemelka (Salt Lake City, UT) I couldn't believe it when I opened the box and the stickers were not even on the dice. You have to put them all on yourself. And the stickers aren't even very good quality. Ours got some juice spilled on them and the paper just ripped right off. Granted they're not designed to withstand liquids I'm sure, but overall I was disappointed. I paid about half of what is currently being charged in the outlet, so really for five dollars I suppose the quality is okay.
We love this game February 6, 2010 Kansas City Dad (Kansas City, MO) My four year old son loves to play this game. It is easy to learn and does not take a long time to play. We can usually get two games in before he wants to move on to something else. It has been moved into our rotation of games that we love to play at our house.
A favorite in our house! January 11, 2010 jensan (Kenosha, WI USA) A Christmas gift, this quickly became the #1 game in the house for us to play with our 3 year old daughter. We like it because it is interactive - she must think strategically and it also involves math. And the Toy Story characters top it off perfectly!
Great game for littler kids! January 4, 2010 Amy Bruckman (Atlanta, GA USA) I'm an old Yahtzee fan, and enjoy playing it with my six-year-old. The full adult version is a bit too much, though, for my four-year-old. So I was happy to find Yahtzee Jr., which we all happily play it together. It's like Yahtzee with pictures instead of numbers on the dice, and simplified rules. It's interesting enough to keep me engaged. I'm really tired of games where each person just follows fixed rules and no choice is involved. Technically, those aren't really even games. This is fun and you can enjoy it whether you get the strategy or not. If you let the youngest go first, that's enough advantage to make up for the fact that older players may make more strategic decisions--so it all balances out.
I bought this for $9 at Target--the price currently listed here at the time I'm writing is too high.
