This NOVELTY YODELING PICKLE toy, is the PERFECT gift when you want to give, with etiquette and good manners, a gift which will show YOUR "internationalionalist" attitude, and show that you hope to share this attitude with those whom you love, but whom you have noticed do NOT have this internationalist bent, but rather have an "ethnic tribalism" in them which you, as an internationalist, find sad, and highly out of date.
For instance, I feel this is the PERFECT, ajunct "Bar-Mitzvah" and "Bat-Mitzvah" gift. One should, of course, also give a "serious" gift, (giving on a "gag" gift, such as this "Yodelling Pickle", alone, really IS in very bad taste). But along with traditional gifts, such as a fountain pen, or Tree Certificate, (announcing that a tree has been been planted in Israel in the honoree's name), a "Yodelling Pickle" -- with connotations BOTH in Jewish cuisine, (which uses PICKLES often as a garnish with traditional food, and with which the recipient and his /her family may be very familiar), and Scandanavia, (where YODELLING is a time-honoured tradition -- and with which the recipient and his /her family many NOT be very familiar), is a subtle(?) hint at the joys of internationalization, (which more and more people today are embracing), to the Bar-Mitzvah boy, or Bat-Mitzvah girl, and his or her parents. This is an especially nice gift if you, yourself are of Scandanavian heritage, and want to emphasize the respect you have for other traditions, while also honouring your own, (and hoping your friends will do likewise).
The "Yodelling Pickle" is also, of course, a great gift for a MARRIAGE between two cultures -- one of which has pickles as a part of their tradition, one of which has yodelling as part of their tradition. (I picture here a wedding between people of Jewish and of Scandanavian heritages -- but I fully realize there may be other cultures which have pickles as part of their cuisine, and other cultures which have yodelling as part of their heritage.) And what about a wedding betwixt two people of Scandanavian /Jewish heritage?
Jews are all over the world, after all. This would be a PERFECT party favour for this type of homogeneous wedding....(if, that is, pickles are part of Scandanavian /Jewish cuisine --something which, as someone whose interest in this subject is matched only by my igorance of it, (at this point in time, anyway), I cannot say for sure.
The Yodelling Pickle is not just a gag-toy. Taken with the right attitude, in the right context, it can, quite seriously and hopefully, quite happily, be a tool of international understanding of the obvious fact that, despite any superficial differences, we human beings are, truly, more alike than we are different!

My mother-in-law is a champion yodeler. She yodels every minute of the day when she is happy, nervous or even sad. She said it is great for the heart. I can't forget the most touching moment when she was at hospital hall yodeling to the tune of Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" when my wife was in labor.
Unfortunately, she decided to go home after a household dispute about food. I don't miss her, but I miss her yodeling. Anyway, I named my Yodeling Pickle, MIL; in honor of my mother-in-law.

This pickle is so funny! My 17 year old daughter has wanted it for a year and I finally caved. She loves it!! her friends think its hilarious! they love the off beat humor!
