Great if it isn't BROKEN August 21, 2010 Steve McChesney (Nanuet, NY United States) Mine came late for my son's birthday... and even with fresh batteries it just cycles back and forth between the maze game and a certain pokemon. Poorly built and obviously this one didn't get much QC.
Oh well. A good value if it worked. Get one off eBay for a fraction of the price.

Fun for the kids August 4, 2010 pkr4 The kids were excited to receive the toy. They are really into Pokemon so it is fun for them to learn about the characters and play the games. I like the volume option.
not from a parents point of view November 24, 2009 David Mcnertney 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Here's the deal, I'm in college and I still play pokemon. My roommate bought me this because he's a swell guy. I really like the product, but it is my claim that it is not necessarily what your "kid" should be using to learn about pokemon... in just a short time of playing the maze mini-game, i noticed some fairly drastic inconsistencies with the actual pokemon world. And this is where the review gets nerdy: When asked who would win a fight between skunktank (poison and dark type) and chingling (psychic type), i chose skunktank because psychic does zero damage to dark type. and dark is "super effective" against psychic. very confident in my decision, the game then told me i was wrong saying that psychic is "super effective" against poison, which it is. but the point here is that the information was based on the pokemon only having 1 type instead of 2. Also in a similar situation, the game told me that a certain pokemon would win because poison is super effective against bug. which just simply isn't true.

My son loves this, but then again he is a Pokeman addict. Recommended for those who need to track Pokeman and their moves

I got this for my son for his birthay. It keeps him busy on long trips. I love the fact that it has the option to turn the sound off!!!
