This bicycle light features optically-boosted center LEDs that light up what is ahead, and wide angle side LEDs with side-light pipes that provide 180-degrees of visibility. Blackburn's Quadrant light runs on four AA batteries (included) for 110 hours in steady mode, or 300 hours in flash mode. The Mars 3.0 is constructed in a tough, water-resistant case and utilizes seven super-bright red LEDs. This rear bicycle light features lens optics that increase its visible distance, and side LEDs that provide 180-degree safety-boosting visibility.  Great product for the price, very bright! August 11, 2010

I did an extensive research on amazon and online before purchasing a headlight/tail light combo. I found that out of all good brands out there, this was the best deal! It seemed like a couple years old model but it works really well. The headlight fell of the clip on me the first time I was riding the bike, but I have to admit it was my fault - MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ARE MOUNTING THE HEADLIGHT TO THE LITTLE PLASTIC CLIP, MAKE SURE IT CLICKS IN PLACE AND HELD SECURELY. I did not ush hard enough and it did not click securely. After the fall I made sure I pushed hard enough so that it clicked in place. I bought two of them, one for my girlfriend.
Would reccomend to anyone!

my only complaint is that two of the red lights on the rear mounted safety light would not turn on. but even with that i am still extremely satisfied with the product. they are both very bright and visible in the day.

The quadrant headlight system is the very best. The headlight gives you all the seeing power you need at night and is excellent for getting the attention of car drivers. The only complaint I have is the taillight which requires a miniature screwdriver to open to replace batteries. Otherwise, you can't get a better bike lighting syste.
